The Use Of The Pipette

The use of the pipette mainly involves steps such as range adjustment, head installation, liquid aspiration, liquid drainage, and maintenance, and strict adherence to operating procedures is necessary to ensure accuracy.

Operation Flow
Range Adjustment: Rotate the knob to set the volume. When changing from a small volume to a large volume, turn it clockwise beyond the set value and then back to the original position to avoid mechanical damage.

Head Installation: Insert the pipette vertically into the head and rotate it slightly to ensure a tight fit. Do not strike the head holder.

Aspiration and Drainage: Before aspirating, rinse the head 2-3 times. Hold the pipette vertically, press the button to the first stop point, and slowly release it while submerged below the liquid surface.

Drainage: When draining, keep the head against the wall and press the button to the first stop point for drainage. After a short pause, press it to the second stop point to blow out the remaining liquid.

Head Removal: Use the retract head button to push the head into the waste liquid cylinder to avoid cross-contamination.
