Wash and dry the surface dish before use. When conducting gas chamber identification, two surface plates are ground into a flat synthetic gas chamber, and a reagent soaked test paper is attached to the upper surface plate. The identified compound is placed on the lower surface plate, and if necessary, heated to observe the gas generated during the reaction. The gas is identified by changing the color of the reagent. If observing white precipitates or turbidity, a piece of black paper can be placed on the bottom wall of the watch glass, and the white product can be clearly visible. If making various instrument covers, simply use its curved shape to place it firmly on the instrument mouth, but pay attention to selecting a surface vessel according to the caliber of the instrument. Generally, the diameter of the watch glass should be 1cm larger than the instrument diameter, which is more convenient to use. If making a beaker lid, select surface vessels of different diameters according to the capacity of the beaker.
