The Usage Methods And Precautions For Cell Culture Flasks

Jul 21, 2026

The usage methods and precautions for cell culture flasks are as follows:

Usage instructions:
1.Remove the cover, and inject the culture medium into the cell factory by tilting or pumping. The cell suspension flows slowly into each layer of the cell factory. Then, close the cover and let it stand still.
2.Slowly tilt the cell factory, with the side with the liquid addition port facing away from you. Let it stand still to allow the cell suspension to flow slowly and evenly into each layer.

3.Rotate 90 degrees sideways, keeping the liquid addition port facing upwards. Let it stand still to allow the cell suspension to flow slowly and evenly into each layer.

4.Hold the side of the liquid addition port with both hands and slowly lower it flat to avoid significant shaking of the liquid.
5.Move the cell culture bottle to the appropriate cell culture box for cultivation.
6.After the cultivation is completed, pour the culture medium into the collection container.

Notes:

1.Regarding the caps: The caps of disposable cell culture bottles should not be tightened too tightly to ensure gas exchange.
2.Reducing "growth voids": Most users do not use pre-coated disposable cell culture bottles but rather ordinary disposable cell culture bottles. The surface environment of these bottles is not conducive to the attachment of mesenchymal stem cells in a serum-free culture environment.
3.Cell dissociation: Place the bottle upright and remove the culture medium. If there are many detached cells in the culture medium, it indicates that the cells are currently prone to detachment. Just add an appropriate amount of dissociation solution, gently shake the culture bottle back and forth until the cells completely detach. Then, add an appropriate amount of culture medium and mix well. Adjust the amount of culture medium according to the growth of the cells.

In addition, before using the cell culture bottles, they need to be disinfected and cleaned to ensure that there are no residual disinfectants and impurities inside the bottle. At the same time, choosing the appropriate bottle size and material is also very important. It should be determined based on the number of cultured cells and the amount of nutrients required. Glass bottles are more suitable for long-term cultivation and maintaining cell stability, while plastic bottles are suitable for short-term cell cultivation.

In conclusion, using cell culture flasks correctly and carefully is crucial for ensuring the smooth progress of experiments. For more information, it is recommended to refer to the user manual of the cell culture flasks or consult professionals.
