Precautions for blood collection tubes
The vacuum blood collection tube is a one-time negative pressure vacuum glass tube that can realize quantitative blood collection and needs to be used in conjunction with a venous blood collection needle.
1. Selection and injection sequence of vacuum blood collection tube
According to the tested items, select the corresponding test tube. The blood injection sequence is culture bottle, ordinary test tube, test tube containing solid anticoagulant, and test tube containing liquid anticoagulant. The purpose of following this sequence is to minimize the analysis error caused by specimen collection. Blood distribution order: ①The order of using glass test tubes: blood culture test tubes, anticoagulant-free serum tubes, sodium citrate anticoagulant test tubes, and other anticoagulant test tubes. ②The sequence of using plastic test tubes: blood culture test tube (yellow), sodium citrate anticoagulation test tube (blue), serum tube with or without blood coagulation activator or gel separation, gel or without gel Heparin tube (green), EDTA anticoagulation tube (purple), test tube with blood glucose decomposition inhibitor (gray).
2. Blood collection site and posture
Infants and young children can take blood from the inner and outer edges of the thumb or heel according to the method recommended by the World Health Organization, preferably the head and jugular vein or the bregma vein. Adults choose the median elbow vein, the back of the hand, and the wrist joint without congestion or edema. The veins of individual patients are on the back of the elbow joint. Most outpatients take a sitting position, while patients in a ward take a lying position. Ask the patient to relax when taking blood, keep the environment warm, and prevent vein contracture. The restraint time should not be too long. It is forbidden to slapping the arm, otherwise it may cause local blood concentration or activate the coagulation system. Try to choose a thick, easy-to-fix blood vessel for puncture, to ensure that a single needle sees blood. The needle insertion angle is generally 20-30°. After seeing the blood return, move forward slightly in parallel, and then put on the vacuum tube. In some patients, the blood pressure is low. After the puncture, the blood return is not seen, but after the negative pressure tube is put on, the blood flows out homeopathically.
